Nerf

A young teen received a Nerf football from his parents as a gift.

"What IS this??" he asked quizzically.

"It's a Nerf Ball," his dad explained, "It was all the rage when I was a kid."

The next morning, the boy published a post about the gift on his blog.

The title of the entry?

"Sponge Ball, Square Parents."

that's funny... but sad in the same respect. Nerf stuff was great! I grew up with that stuff.

He must've been homeschooled. You know, because we're "always" looking to protect our kids from the 'hard knocks' in life.

Ha! Pretty good. I remember in the grand old days of the early '80s when I was just a pup I had every Nerf ball possible - football, soccer, etc. Only the footballs were worth a damn though. My nerf soccer ball, after the "paint" or whatever outer layer wore off, would get water logged and hard to kick...'cause we liked to play ball in the rain. We were strange kids.
