tying teacher salaries to student performance

Schools across the nation are considering tying teacher salaries to student performance.

I couldn't agree more.

The worse a school performs, the more they should pay the teachers to motivate them to teach the kids better.

Lower performance = higher pay?

Teacher: "Scientists have found Earth to be just over seventy years old."
Student: "But I thought-"
Teacher: "Shut your whore mouth and learn what you're told! I'm tired of Hot Pockets for dinner every night."

You slay me, "PD".

But seriously, tying teacher pay to student performance is like tying prison warden pay to ex-cons' recidivism rate. There are just too many variables to student performance, of which teachers' input is just a part.
